
The aims of ISEIRE are:
- To improve the quality of life of people with exercise intolerance through research and education.
- To promote and organise educational programs training and advice in cardiopulmonary exercise testing and interpretation (eg. The Practicum).
- To stimulate research in exercise intolerance through interactive meetings of scientists.
- To foster collaborative research related to exercise intolerance.
- To establish diagnostic guidelines for specific pathophysiology and provide position papers on such matters.
- To serve as a resource for industry in selection of competent Core laboratory sites for data analysis involving Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
- To serve as a resource for procedures, standards and analytic criteria to laboratories and personnel engaged in Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
- To keep the medical profession and community at large informed as to current medical research and developments in cardio-pulmonary and related exercise forms.
